Our Dream
Maple Meadows is a dream in progress. Our goal is two-fold; we wish to rescue and rehabilitate horses that have been abused and neglected and use them as therapeutic tools for children who need them the most, children that struggle with depression, abuse or who just need a loyal friend. Through this friendship, we believe both will heal and create an unbreakable bond. Our desire is for rescued horses to rescue children.
This facility is named in honor of Jeanette Maples, a tragic victim of abuse, who's life was cut short in December 2009. We want to honor her memory by helping children in similar situations overcome obstacles associated with abuse. We believe that horses and children have a special bond and can help each other overcome and heal from a broken past in order for a brighter future.
This dream was, from a young age, inspired by my grandmother Mary Lou. Throughout my childhood, she talked about horse rescue centers and how she thought I should start one in our area. As I was preparing to graduate from college, she re-iterated this by giving me a book. She said that my passion for horses and my degree in psychology would make this a perfect fit. I was truly inspired by the book and my grandmother's words and with the generosity of people in our community, this dream has become a reality.

Jordan on Dude
Co-Director:
Jordan Stevens - A champion trainer, Jordan grew up with horses and has shown, worked, and trained in the horse industry since a young age. His knowledge of horses, work ethic, and natural ability to train horses to become better for people is what fuels his dream. At the age of 2, he told his mom, "When I grow up, I want to train champion horses". Some things never change. Although the definition of champion may have. While competing and winning is something that Jordan enjoys, he has learned there is more to life then the ribbons. It's the connection and bond between horse and human that makes the "champion". That is what he enjoys helping people find. Along with working at Maple Meadows, he also "starts" outside horses to help fund the ranch. If you are interested in supporting the ranch by sending a horse in for training, click HERE!
